• Tuned up and administred Citrix Farm, MS Active Directory, configured Enterprise Backup (HP, Veritas).

• Consultant for a range of projects for external customers of this Infrastructure Services provider
• Designed and implemented an infrastructure (application) hosting solution for a multi-branch environment – IBM server h/w, SAN, VMware ESX server, Windows 2003 domain and WTS 2003 with Citrix PS 4.0, Secure Gateway (SSL access).
• Designed/implemented or upgraded a range of smaller Microsoft and WTS/Citrix implementations for external SMB customers (MS and WTS 2000/2003, Citrix 1.8, XP, 3.0, Presentation Server 4.0).Implemented and upgraded a range of systems (Windows 2003 Active Directory, and Exchange), networks (firewalls, switches, VPN) in infrastructure projects for external SMB customers.

• Designed and implemented a centralized 500-seat system for company’s Canada-wide network of stores and HQ - based around Windows 2000, Active Directory, WTS servers (alter. Citrix), and VPNs.
• Ported all company’s LOB & Office applications to secure (and user-proof) RDP published desktops, installed onto Application Server Farm (4 FT Windows Terminal Services systems).
• Designed and implemented Win2000 Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, FS-PS, IAS, network services. Secured AD GPO policies & user profiles, secured ported applications. Configured WTS printing.
• Implemented Backup, and AV protection, basic Disaster Recovery. Configured Nortel VPN switch and Linux Firewall. Completed project documentation and trained system administrators.
• Significantly lowerd initially projected and overall systems/network costs. Delivered low-TCO system, easier system administration.

• Completed range of Citrix implementation projects for SMB customers (20-100 seats ea): application hosting: ported apps or secured desktops – over WAN or Internet using Citrix MF 1.8 Farms (on Win2000) or Servers (NT-TSE, 2K)
• Implemented NFuse portal for web-based access, Citrix Load Balancing, IM, and RM services.
• Tuned and upgraded a range of existing Citrix ASP implementations (Citrix MF 1.8 Servers on NT-TSE) for existing customers (each with 20-100 users on 1-4 servers per farm). Worked on tuning and upgrading internal company network.

• Large-scale systems administration, work on ongoing infrastructure projects
• Administered Windows NT domain (50 servers, 2000 HQ users, and 50 branches), Exchange 5.5, SNA & SMS 2 servers.
• Provided 3rd line support for Novell and NT-based systems, network, and users. Troubleshot problems, tuned NT servers/network to better reliability & performance. Supported above-listed Servers on Compaq HW (50 servers).
• Implemented Windows NT Backup, AV, DR & desktop security policies. Worked on implementation of Citrix MetaFrame for the bankmigrating 2000 HQ users & 50 branches to Citrix MetaFrame 1.0 Farm running over NT-TSE.

• Provided 2nd & 3rd line support and troubleshooting to 300 users on Win95/NT desktops, Windows, Novell & SCO servers.
• Administered servers: NetWare 4.1 (FPS), MS Mail (messaging), SCO (DB, FPS), and internal LAN/WAN (HQ & sites), done server builds/upgrades (h/w & system s/w).Worked on Novell to NT upgrade, MS Mail to Exchange 5.5 upgrade
