Blackberry/Mobile Platform Developer

Reporting to: Project Manager
Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining the functionality and performance of the AllenPort application’s graphical user interface.

Start date: As soon as possible

Job Description: AllenPort Co. is looking for a full-time engineer to take the lead developing and supporting AllenPort’s graphical user interface. AllenPort’s application currently works on Windows and will be expanding to other platforms in 2010. This job has additional opportunities if the right person is interested working in web development and C++ for the application’s operation.
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of Objective C, C/C++, 2+ years of work experience
• Experience in design of complex GUI applications
o Multithreaded architecture,
o Application of design patterns
• Experience in implementation of user interfaces for Mac
• Experience in porting GUI applications to Mac
• Understanding of common usability principles

The following skills are highly desirable:
• Familiarity with BOOST libraries
• Knowledge of GUI test tools
• Experience in development of networking applications (client/server, peer to peer)
• Experience in system level programming for Mac OS
• Experience in implementation of user interfaces in MFC
• Knowledge of WPF, .NET 3.0, C++/CLI
• Knowledge of cross-platform GUI development tools and libraries
• Experience in developing custom UIs and skinnable interfaces
• References to completed projects
