Brand Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a leading brand position that drives brand health indicators, volume, market share and profitability. Ensure alignment of brand communication with global team where applicable;
- Liaise with GBM to agree and align brand priorities and objectives;
- Develop and implement brand, communication and pricing strategies for the brand utilizing relevant consumer and market insights;
- Prepare annual brand plans, sales volume forecast and brand budget;
- Manage advertising and promotion agencies to ensure the development of relevant advertising materials and media campaigns to attract consumers, within the agreed international positioning;
- With the help of the Insights function and trade marketing, monitor the brand performance by analyzing market and consumer information and make recommendations for improvements as required;
- Interpret and implement agreed pricing policy to ensure competitive consumer pricing;
- Manage the day to day budget for the brand;
- Drive efficiencies across brand processes and expenditure;
- Participate in the development/improvement of product and line extensions in the brand’s portfolio;
- Manage the development of the brand’s primary and secondary packaging;
- Work closely with Trade Marketing to ensure alignment and consistency for the brand in all relevant trade channels;
Requirements
- Previous experience in brand marketing in FMCG Company or related industries for a minimum 3 to 5 years;
- Experience in managing agencies day to day to develop and execute relevant & appealing consumer communication;
- Good analytical and commercial skills including budget and financial management;
- Good understanding of brand building processes and disciplines;
- Basic understanding of media processes;
- Effective oral and written presentation skills;
- Ability to work in multi skilled environment;
- Effective project & people management skills;
- Good analytical skills;
- Budget and numerical competency;
- Ability to work under pressure and in situations of regular uncertainty;
- Self-disciplined, punctual and possessing good time management discipline;
- Above average computer skills (especially Microsoft Project, Excel).
