Construction Manager

Ultimately; responsible for the delivery of the schemes in his portfolio covering safety, quality, cost and programme. One of the key objectives is to manage the personnel on this Agreement effectively, efficiently and to company policies and procedures.

* To ensure scheme is completed to meet group standards (subject to contract conditions) and that the Management Systems have been applied.
* To ensure scheme is completed to meet required Health, Safety & Environmental requirements
* To effectively manage resources, i.e. people, time, plant, materials, subcontractors
* Effectively manage customer relationships
* Effectively manage supplier relationships
* Effectively communicate contract requirements to staff
* Manage Site Agents through KPIs results
* Promote team building and motivate site teams
* Produce written reports, e.g. accident investigation,MMM Reports
* Identify key variations to contract
* Control and manage Safety, Quality, Commercial, Programme aspects of each scheme and generate target cost gain-share in line with agreed budgets.
* Manage production of method statements, test plans and outline project specifications
* Facilitate the signature and approval of Method Statements from Time of submission to approval
* Co-ordinating the composition of Construction Programmes for GMP and Implementation Phase
* Give input on buidability and value engineering during feasibility stage
* Allocate site resources (Agents & Foreman) through liaison with other CM's
* Allocate DLO resources through liaison with Works Manager
* Allocate possession staff (DLO & Supervision) through liaison with other CM's and Works Manager
* Possession planning and possession staffing through liaison with other CM's and Works Manager.
* To ensure that all staff comply and are trained to comply with group standards
* Be responsible and manage all the aspects of the Implementation Phase with varied input on the Development Phase

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor degree in civil engineering
* Civil construction Manager with 7+ years experience and Middle East project experience is a plus
* English Good oral and written communication skills , Arabic and Russian are a plus
* Familiar with contract conditions
* Understanding of planning process
* Awareness of customer standards
* Ability to install pride and enthusiasm in team
* Awareness of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements
* Report writing
* Understanding of design process
* Computer skills ,proficient with MS project & office and primavera project management.
* Understanding of management systems
* Full driving licence
* Awareness of procurement process
* Objective setting
* Civil/ Structural concrete construction
