Embedded VoIP Software Developer

Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. designs, develops and sells semiconductor networking solutions for communications applications such as converged VoIP and data, and broadband optical transmission in enterprise, access, metropolitan and wide area networks.
Mindspeed's products are used in a wide variety of network infrastructure equipment including voice and media gateways, high-speed routers, switches, access multiplexers, cross-connect systems, add-drop multiplexers and digital loop carrier equipment.
We are opening a position Embedded VoIP Software Developer for our Ukraine office
Key requirements:
• Masters CS degree.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Proven ability to effectively organize and work productively on simultaneous tasks.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with Voice-over-IP (VoIP) development. Good knowledge of RTP protocol, and related Voice processing used for Voice transport over IP networks.
• Experience in developing real-time embedded software. This requires familiarity with the use of embedded tool-chains, ICE/JTAG debuggers etc.
• Experience with embedded Linux. Knowledge of common Linux utilities, ability to configure Linux, knowledge of kernel internals, and development of user space and kernel space softwares.
• Excellent C programming skills.
All or some of the qualifications listed below considered adding a major value to the applicant
• Familiar with communication and/or data networking protocols, especially IP and Ethernet.
• Familiar with issues such as multi-tasking, multi-threading, inter-thread communication and synchronization, interrupt handling.
• Ability to write software under memory and MIPs constraints.
• Experience with Asterisk and its architecture. Knowledge of SIP and related protocols.
• Experience using Real-Time Operating Systems.
• Experience with the ARM processor – architecture, instruction-set and tool-chain.
