Fleet / dispatch coordinator (host cities)
Local Organizing Committee EURO 2012 UKRAINE in cooperation with UEFA is currently looking for a Fleet / Dispatch Coordinator (Host Cities).
Purpose of the position:
The Event Transport department aims to provide planning and delivery of Transportation Services for participating EURO 2012 target groups in particular: 16 National Teams, Guests and Staff, Match Officials: Referees, Doping Control, Match Delegates. The anticipated venues covered are all the official airports, hotels, stadiums and team base camps within the host countries of the UEFA EURO 2012 tournament.
The Fleet/Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for organizing and running of daily transport operations in particular official venues. He/she will liaise with different involved parties (like volunteers and professional's drivers, hotels, UEFA etc.) to ensure a successful transport operation. This function requires very good organisational and communication skills. A good knowledge of the venue and experiences in similar positions are beneficial.
Main accountabilities:
- Establishes a smooth and effective top quality transport procedure in a cost effective way.
- Implements all Fleet Policies and Procedures such as maintenance, accident and repair procedure, to support the event operations.
- Allocates job missions according to daily requirements.
- Ensures hotel transport operations in assigned Headquarters Hotel.
- Supervises and instructs the on-site team (drivers) during tournament operations.
- Dispatches drivers and vehicles between the different sites (stadium, hotels, and airport).
- Fleet supervising, commissioning and decommissioning with insurance
- Shift planning of drivers in cooperation with Volunteer Department and Professional Driver Provider.
Major requirements:
- higher education (ideally Logistics/Transport related is an asset);
- 3+ years of relevant experience in fast and pressurized environment;
- experience in event operations is a plus;
- profound knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- native Ukrainian and fluent English.
