MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in functional and architectural design of content that is developed for new releases of the product
• Perform implementation, review and debugging of new content
• Research and evaluate technical options to implement business requirements
• Directly communicate with customer support engineers and customer representatives as part of the HP customer support organization
• Implement fixes for service packs and hotfixes for specific customer issues
• Become the technical owner of several areas of the product, being responsible for area support and improvement
• Collaborate with other R&D, QA, documentation and globalization teams
• Proactively raise technical risks and suggest measures against them
• Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product
• Report to the Team Leader

REQUIRED:

• Commercial Java development experience (4+ years)
• OOP, OO Design Patterns
• Fluent English (oral & written)
• Good communication skills
• Technical documentation writing skills
• Team working experience
• Fast research and learning skills

EXPECTED EXPERIENCE IN AT LEAST 2-3 OF THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

• Application servers (BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere)
• Java Swing framework
• Advanced user experience with any of *nix OS: Linux, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris
• Basic knowledge and user experience with network protocols (SNMP, HTTP, SSH etc.)
• Win32 API (esp. remote registry and WMI)

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• VMware (or other virtualization environments)
• Enterprise integration protocols (SOAP, RMI, JMS)
• Medium-level knowledge of C/C++
• Basic knowledge of Python
• Presentation skills

Work on the project in Odessa.
