Linux website system administrator (kiev)

Primary responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and monitoring of the servers used as the development stack environment
• You will be responsible for the installation of production website clusters (Web services, database, DNS, firewall, load balancing, replication, backup,…), performance testing and monitoring
• You will participate in the definition and construction of our cloud architecture


Personal requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science is a minimal requirement; other fields of study are acceptable when combined with a strong background or work experience
• Experience in high-load websites or datacenter administration is required
• More than 5 years of experience with Linux is required
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to express thoughts clearly both verbally and on a paper
• Curiosity in the latest web technologies
• Strong written and spoken English is a must

Technical requirements:

• GNULinux expert (CentOS, Arch Linux...)
• Webserver installation and administration (Nginx, Apache, load balancing, HA...)
• Strong network administration and monitoring skills
• Experience in advanced filesystem administration (RAID, LVM, DRBD)
• Strong knowledge of shell (Bash) programming
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Perl, Python, Ruby...)
• Virtualization technology knowledge is a plus
