Lua developer

Ciklum is a Danish innovative IT outsourcing company specializing in nearshore software development in Ukraine.
Currently we are looking for Lua Developer to join our Service2Media team.
About project:
Service2Media is the leading provider of Advanced App Solutions for smart phones, tablets and an unbounded range of emerging devices.Currently Service2Media has offices in the Netherlands, UK, Spain, UAE and USA.

App Logic – scripting - The Apps are developed in scripting language which is based on Lua, an open source programming language that combines simplicity and flexibility with fast execution and small memory footprint. Lua has been battle-proven on constrained devices and widely used in the electronic appliance and gaming markets. Lua comes with extensive tooling on a wide range of (mobile) OSs. Lua is simple to learn; a JavaScript developer can learn Lua almost overnight. This makes M2Active very suitable for adoption by web design and development teams.
The script is compiled into byte-code and for each OS it is built together with the runtime for that OS into an App that is distributed to the App Store for that OS.

Required Skills:
Ability to work independently,
A result driven, proactive attitude,
Basic knowledge in programming for mobile devices is an advantage
Basic experience with software programming (approx 8 – 12 months)
PRE: Basic knowledge with object oriented programming,
Data modeling,
HTTP (JSON/SOAP),
HTML/CSS,
LUA programming experience is an advantage,
Knowledge of Subversion/TRAC/JIRA,
A ‘feel’ for GUI’s.

Abstraction power
Reading and writing in English fluently,
Good communicative skills (in English)
