Mobile functional qa (tester)

Responsibilities:
• Actively participates in agile meetings with product management and engineering. You will be the quality expert on the team for a user driven content application platform
• Hands-on functional, integration, regression, data validation, cross-platform and end-to-end testing. This includes manual testing of mobile and web applications for functional deficiencies, usability issues, verification of design specifications and business requirements.
• Designs, maintains and executes test scenarios that are stored in the test repository
• Act as an advocate for the end users, must be able to envision the usage of the platform outside the scope of specifications in the real world
• Reports defects clearly in the JIRA or Redmine defect tracking system
• Coordinates and clearly communicates assignments and results with the distributed team


Qualifications:
• 3-5 years experience in a fast-paced software industry with an excellent understanding of QA methodology
• Solid working knowledge of mobile applications and operating systems (iOS, Android)
• Previous experience working in an Agile environment; able to plan testing without detailed specs
• Working knowledge of Linux is highly desirable
• Social Network (Twitter, Facebook, ) experience is a plus
• Familiarity with software development life cycles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
