Principal Software Engineer, Windows OS specialist

This position is for a software engineer who will join Aquasoft SaaS solutions development group within the R&D division. Aquasoft is looking for a principal level software engineer who is dynamic, self motivated and independent. He/she will be tasked with solving challenging problems related to MS Windows on new hardware or virtualized environments. Deep technical knowledge of the Windows OS is a must. We are not looking for a programmer who writes code for the Windows OS, such as a .NET programmer. We are looking for a programmer of the Windows OS or virtualization to support the Windows OS.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5+ years software engineering experience with the Windows operating system either in porting, kernel programming, memory management, or virtualization.
EDUCATION: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering discipline.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Deep understanding of Windows OS & kernel (e.g. memory mapping & timers).
- Virtualization, ideally Windows running on virtualization platforms.
- Windows debugging, including OS or device drivers.
The individual must be able to clearly communicate with team members as well as clients, the later would require at least an intermediate level of English reading and writing skills. Individuals with an advanced English language skills will be given preferential consideration. The individual must process a keen understanding of programming concepts and demonstrate a willingness to be a part of a software team working towards aggressive milestones.
