Qa engineer (barclays capital)

Main duties:

∙ Gathering and documenting functional requirements from various business and project stakeholders.
∙ Creation of test cases and scripts against agreed requirements.
∙ Execution of test cases.
∙ Creation & running of Automated test scripts.


Requirements

Experience required:

∙ Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
∙ Good exposure to at least one testing methodology – preferably V-Model
∙ Strong Manual Testing skills.
∙ Automation testing experience – Quick Test Professional.

Skills and Knowledge: (Specific product knowledge/PC skills/languages etc.)

∙ Sybase: Must have experience of using SQL, and ability to understand stored procedures, triggers and write basic queries for issue investigation purposes.
∙ UNIX basic command line knowledge.
∙ Experience of working with Java & C# applications would be preferred.
∙ Experience of working with MQ messaging systems would be preferred.
