We’re looking for a result-oriented, proactive, and creative individual to be part of our strong software engineering team. This individual will play an active role in all aspects of software development, from functional walkthroughs, technical designs, and implementations to release. Requires 3+ years of software development experience on Internet commerce applications using Java, SQL, and J2EE technologies. Good written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as an ability to develop business requirements into a software solution.

Должностные обязанности
Work on a team of 3-4 software engineers on projects
Assist in the technical design effort of various projects for Hotwire’s e-commerce application that meets scalability and performance requirements
Participate in the implementation (e.g., coding) effort
Ensure proper technical design and documentation
Ensure adherence to engineering processes such as code reviews, source control, unit testing, use case analysis, defect management

Основные навыки/знания
1. Experience with object-oriented framework and design
2. J2EE APIs, particularly Java-based application servers (e.g. BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere) with EJBs, servlets, and JSP
3. Working experience with any modern RDBMS
4. Good verbal and written skills, with proven ability to communicate ideas and to design and document projects in a clear, concise way
5. Experience with ORM (Toplink, Hibernate, JDO).
6. Ability to write clean, coherent code, and to follow established coding style guidelines.
