VoIP Network Engineer

OVETEL is looking for a VoIP Network Engineer to work full time on a contract to hire basis.
OVETEL, headquartered in the U.S. is a world leader in advanced internet-based telecommunications services for international voice carriers and other service providers. The OVETEL Network is the world's largest international ALOE Systems Powered Network for Internet Telephony.
The VoIP Network Engineer will be responsible for assisting internal and external customers in system diagnostics and resolution of technical problems, system outages and maintenance. There will be an emphasis on VoIP technology and networks with a need for strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. This position requires a basic knowledge of voice telecommunications and traffic as well as a working knowledge of core network infrastructure and TCP/IP networking. Also required will be knowledge of TCP/IP networking and VoIP technology exposure, including SIP and Session Border controller softswitch telephony. Good telephone skills, etiquette, and communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and tracking of system functionality
- Processing outage tickets
- Communicating with customers, vendors, partners, and Telecom carriers.
