Senior web designer

Helios Technologies specializes in Web Technologies since 2006. We develop funded start-ups, and support them within the entire product life cycle. Today Helios is powering hundreds of websites, employing the latest technologies and methodologies. We have offices in Hong Kong, Paris, Kiev and now in Odessa. Helios Technologies is a fast growing company, and due to our expansion, we are looking for a highly skilled Senior Web Designer to join our team in Odessa.

We are looking for a creative and talented senior web designer to join our off-the-wall team. If you are motivated, dynamic, can work in a team and solo, willing to learn, and have a mind-blowing portfolio, we're looking for you! You must have strong design skills and a good understanding on backend structures, as well as a basic understanding of search engine optimization and building SEO-friendly sites.

Tech Requirements:
• Creative mindset and ability to tackle similar projects from different angles
• Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, with specialisation in:
- Illustrator
- Photoshop

ADVANCED HTML/CSS

• Candidates must be able to use style sheets, and have advance HTML skills. Almost all our work is
 Ruby on Rails based, so experience in that respect is essential. You must be able to work with
 raw html. HAML, LESS, SASS, ERB is a big plus. The same for cross-browsers optimization.
• Using one of popular CSS frameworks (skeleton, Bootstrap, 960gs, Blueprint)
• Candidates must have a sharp eye for detail. Our work has a focus on continual
 quality improvement and we take a quality over quantity approach in this regard
• A basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation is essential (i.e. the importance of
 meta descriptions, title tags, rel canonicals and avoidance of duplicate content)

• Technical English
• The ability to lead project creative across all platforms and offer support across the
 design department
• Confidence in delivering projects from concept through to delivery
• Have impressive problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
• Be independent, highly disciplined and self-motivated
• Have an excellent understanding of the principles of branding communication, design
 / layout and development
• Keep up to date emerging trends in development, design and communication strategy
