Sit (system integration test) engineer

Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. designs, develops and sells semiconductor networking solutions for communications applications such as converged VoIP and data, and broadband optical transmission in enterprise, access, metropolitan and wide area wireline and wireless networks.

Mindspeed's products are used in a wide variety of network infrastructure equipment including voice and media gateways, high-speed routers, switches, access multiplexers, cross-connect systems, add-drop multiplexers and digital loop carrier equipment.

We are opening a position Systems Test Engineer for our Ukraine office

Key requirements:

• Masters/Bachelors CS degree or similar degree or experience.
• Understanding of network systems and topologies.
• Technical and working knowledge of Linux operating systems (Windows is a plus).
• Understanding of test and debug methodologies. 
• Self-motivated person with strong technical skills.
• Demonstrate positive teamwork and clear, concise, communication skills to help debug complex problems.
• Demonstrate good troubleshooting skills using individual devices, network monitors, servers, and systems.
• Proficient with Open Office or MS Office and archive tools.
• Good spoken English is desired.

Desired Qualification - familiarity with telephony and VoIP protocols.

Key responsibilities:

Person will be responsible for testing all companies’ products within the team. Configuring and maintaining internal laboratory network of test equipment consisting of more than 100 computers for VoIP testing. Setup and configuration of Linux based test systems and environments. Configuration and running various forms of test equipment, tools, and test applications. Reporting test results, perform failure analysis, and troubleshoot problems.
