Software project manager for thomas cook extension team

Skelia invites Software Project Manager (ref: TC-PM-JNET02) for long-term and full-time employment at its service center in Lviv, Ukraine. You role will be to ensure the streamlined operation of the team in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. You will plan, coordinate, direct, and design team-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the team. You will work closely with the Software Development Manager and the other IT managers or Thomas Cook to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the team.

 YOUR PROFILE

- 7+ years background in software development industry

- Strong technical background in Java or .NET

- 2+ years of leading experience

- Experience in managing team of 7+ persons

- Knowledge of software development cycle, methodologies and practices; good knowledge of Agile methodology

- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style

- Good level of English in both oral and written communication

- Problem solving and multi-task abilities

- Experience in performing technical interviews and personnel selection

- High comfort level working in international environment

YOUR MISSION

- Being responsible for the quality, technical accuracy and timing of the requested project within the project structure

- Benchmarking, analyzing and developing new methodologies and development strategies; applying new ideas that may contribute to an improvement in his discipline.

- Search for and implement optimizations on activities within the field of software development

- Establishing and maintaining effective internal communication between the team and the customer

- Ensuring that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfilling end-user requirements, and identifying and resolve systems issues

- Collaborating with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications

- Reviewing and analyzing of existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency, and then developing strategies for improving or leveraging these systems

- Researching and making recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts

- Maintaining of the development processes and quality standards throughout his development team
