Over client international company is looking for « Database System Administrator»
Role
System Administrator develops and maintains infrastructure according to company global standards; participates in Global Helpdesk structure and implements approved changes to the production systems to ensure support of business operations both in Ukraine and globally
Major Responsibilities
• Participate in Global Helpdesk structure to effectively resolve end users requests according to Service Level Agreement
• Implement approved changes on the production systems in a flawless way so that the infrastructure and systems continuously improve
• Ensure that all IT policies are applied and followed correctly in order to build and maintain the right environment to implement the business deliverables
• Install and maintain infrastructure functionality according to company standards in order to achieve 24x7 uptime of operations
• Write and give training to local employees to allow them to achieve the right level of use of basic applications
• Participate in projects to deliver business value
Successful candidate will have:
Competencies
• Knowledge of, and commitment to best practices in help desk
• Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to establish effective, ongoing relationships with clients, staff and management
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a minimum of direction
• Software knowledge: installation, troubleshooting, development
• Backup systems experience: understanding principles of backup and usage of available tools
• Understanding, designing and maintaining Windows/Linux/Unix based network
• Basic knowledge of PBX systems and communication: understanding main principles of communications and knowledge of new technologies of data/voice transmission over Internet (VoIP)
• Knowledge in databases: understanding principles and has experience in creating databases
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree (computer field or close to it)
• Systems: Linux, Unix, Windows XP, 2000 server, 2003 server, PBX, VoIP
• Hardware: LAN equipment (servers, hubs, routers, etc.)
• Databases: SQL (Oracle will be a benefit)
• English language - good written and spoken
