Technical support specialist
Responsibilities:
· Configure, monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
· Troubleshoot system and network problems
· Use instant messaging for communicating solutions
· Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
· Run network applications to support systems and users
· Manage resolution from end to end for all client issues
· Prioritise and manage several open tasks at one time
· Adhere to quality standards for the department
· *Continuously build knowledge based on the initial training provided
· Maintain technical and knowledgebase documentation.
· Keep an electronic record of application deficiencies found in testing.
· Ability to work in shifts
Skills Requirements:
· *Strong written and speaking English language skills
· Degree in Computer Science; Network Engineering or Information Technology preferred
· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
· Technical Support, Customer Service or Help Desk experience in software environment is a plus
· 2+ years of Programming experience
· Knowledge of SQL, Relational database (MySQL, Oracle)
· Understanding of TCP/IP protocols, HTTP/HTTPS protocols
· Experience in Multithreading and Event-driven programming is a plus
