Test Department Leader

We are looking for a Leader for our Software Test Department in Ukraine. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or similar discipline and/or several years software testing experience.

You will provide technical contact and input on a regular basis to your section members and ensure that their day to day issues are addressed.

You will liaise with members of the management team and other departments to ensure the smooth running of the business and attend project meetings to ensure progress is maintained.

You will be responsible for testing the software of our products (mostly using black box/white box/grey box techniques). You will have the ability to follow strict testing plans, procedures and standard test routines. The role will involve reviewing test plans, time estimations, writing reports and reporting bugs in a centralized bug tracking database. You will have a methodical and logical approach, and be involved in estimating time required for completion of testing the products. You will report bugs in our centralized bug tracking database and produce written test reports. You will be expected to maintain and improve test procedures, ensuring we deliver good quality products on time and to schedule.

Applicants should have some or all of the following experience:

•Appropriate Qualification and/or software testing experience
•Knowledge of consumer electronics products and user interfaces
•Knowledge of PC technology
•Knowledge of MPEG2/MPEG4/DVB technology
•Knowledge of satellite receiver technology
•Working with (semi) automated test equipment.
• English (verbal and writing)
•Ability to work as part of a team
•Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills

It may be required that you acquire appropriate qualification such as ISEB certification
